Startups I’m bullish on

This is a list of companies I’m very bullish on. In no particular order, and why.

I’ll mark companies I have some sort of vested or personal founder relationship, with a “☨”

Insight: The real moat in robotics is the AI inside

Humanoid and domestic robot development is maturing rapidly, in part due to things like the expiration of the patents on harmonic drives, model-predictive control, as well as more powerful GPU compute being available on-device.

As with all AI-enabled Hardware and systems interacting with the real-world, the usefulness (and safety) of these systems has mostly to due with the AI models and controllers running on them, and not the difficulty in creating the hardware.

Companies like PI who are getting robots to do a variety of domestic tasks, safely, I think will be the most successful.

Anduril Industries: It’s likely only a matter of time until IPO

Albedo Space: 10cm imagery available to commercial users will be a game-changer

Neros Technologies ☨: Founder is hell-bent on dominating the FPV for defense Space. They are making drone at a high volume, with increasing sophistication.

Amidon Heavy Industries ☨: Undersea autonomous systems are going to be more valuable as the ocean in many ways is the last frontier setting in defense.

Railway: Engineers can’t be bothered to wrangle infrastructure on tight startup timelines. Railway provides the easiest way to deploy complex software applications, and now they’re building their own server farms.

Linear: Becoming the de-facto project management software for modern startups.

Determinant Materials: Nikhil has been working on this for years, and has built an incredible proprietary process for extracting valuable metals from E-Waste.
